Osaka World Expo 2025 - additional info
Are you an international player in high-tech or digitalisation? And are you curious about Japanese applications in the field of beyond 5G/6G? Then take part in this trade and innovation mission with Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs Beljaarts. This mission will take place during the World Expo in Osaka - Japan in the week of 18-24 May 2025.
The Netherlands and Japan are running research programmes to develop 6G technology and applications. Those programmes provide insight into the capabilities of this new network technology. In both countries, the transition to 6G is going to have a major impact on the way we work and live.
With this mission, we capitalise on the fact that Japan and the Netherlands are leading the way in digitalisation. This is the ‘common ground’ we as the Netherlands share with Japan.
Therefore, this mission offers the opportunity to share knowledge and ideas on cooperation and collaborations. To build on this to develop new, 5G and 6G applications within the global ecosystem of smart grid technology and applications.
The programme focuses on 6G applications where you can think of:
- Better production and flexibility in industry through automation, such as with robots;
- Better logistics and mobility, such as by using drones at transport hubs;
- Improving ‘smart’ maintenance in various applications (from high-tech to industry);
- Realising multi-sensory experiences in retail, recreation and sports.
Application via the RVO website is now open and participants can register until 31 January.
