SNS JU Allocates €128 Million for 6G Research and Innovation in 2025
The Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) has published its annual work programme (AWP). This Research and Innovation Work Programme 2025 allocates €128 million of EU funding to boost Europe's leadership in 5G and 6G technologies
This next phase of R&I funding demonstrates SNS JU's commitment to advancing Europe's technological sovereignty in smart networks and services.
Three streams for 6G research and innovation
The programme is designed to stimulate research and innovation in three targeted streams:
- Supporting research into revolutionary and evolutionary technology developments, including 6G technologies.
- Enabling the development of experimental infrastructures for 6G Telco Cloud & service platforms.
- Trials and pilots focused on sectors such as industry/manufacturing, media, automotive, transport/logistics, emergency and security services and health.
