Within the Future Network Services (FNS) program, knowledge institutions, companies, and government bodies collaborate in 6G Fieldlabs. These are testing and development environments where the latest network and communication technologies are applied in practice. Innovations are tested, scaled, and translated into concrete applications that address societal and economic challenges.

Together, the Fieldlabs form the foundation of the National 6G Testbed. Each Fieldlab has its own specializations and unique facilities, but they share a single goal: accelerating innovation and exploring the possibilities of next-generation networks.

6G Fieldlab Amersfoort - RDI

The Dutch Authority for Digital Infrastructure (RDI) monitors the safety, availability, and reliability of digital infrastructure and identifies societal issues and risks. By monitoring trends and concerns at an early stage, RDI protects public interests in a complex digital environment. The 6G Fieldlab Amersfoort provides a safe testing environment, connected to TNO’s FNS 6G Testbed, for socially relevant innovations.

6G Fieldlab Delft – Do Iot Fieldlab

The 6G Fieldlab Delft at TU Delft is a testing environment where companies and researchers collaborate on wireless innovations with 5G and other technologies. It features multiple private networks and infrastructures to enable realistic experiments. Start-ups, scale-ups, companies, and knowledge institutions work together here on the technology of tomorrow.

6G Fieldlab Den Haag - TNO

TNO develops and manages the FNS test environment for testing and integrating advanced network capabilities. This Beyond 5G environment supports collaboration with companies, knowledge institutions, and operators on innovations such as teleoperated driving and remote healthcare. It plays a key role in the Dutch 6G roadmap as well as in various national and European projects.

6G Fieldlab Eindhoven – BDF

Brainport Digital Factory (BDF) is the 6G Fieldlab in Eindhoven, located on the Brainport Industries Campus. It accelerates the transformation of the manufacturing industry toward wireless, intelligent, and scalable production systems. Using 5G, 6G, and edge computing technologies, production processes are optimized, enabling innovations such as digital twins and remote machine control. The Fieldlab provides companies, researchers, and students with a testing environment to develop, test, and scale industrial applications.

6G Fieldlab Groningen - ICCS

The Innovation Center Connected Solutions (ICCS) supports companies, students, and knowledge institutions with expertise in connectivity, AI, and sensor technology. In their 6G Fieldlab Groningen, collaboration and experimentation are central, with a focus on applications in rural areas of Northern Netherlands. ICCS works together with various partners and is connected to Future Network Services for the development of 6G technology.
