6G Fieldlab Delft – Do Iot Fieldlab

The 6G Fieldlab in Delft is led by the Do IoT Fieldlab, which includes, among others, TU Delft, and focuses on accelerating wireless innovations. Companies and researchers develop and test smart 6G applications for sectors such as greenhouse horticulture, industry, and energy. The applications are practical, so that once they successfully pass testing, they can be deployed immediately.

Specialization of this 6G Fieldlab

The Fieldlab in Delft focuses on testing wireless technologies in realistic environments. With a strong emphasis on IoT applications on future 6G networks, solutions are developed for sectors such as greenhouse horticulture, industry, and energy.

What is the role of the Do IoT Fieldlab?

The Do IoT Fieldlab, which includes TU Delft among others, provides a practical testing environment where companies can develop and evaluate their innovations. With extensive and customizable facilities, both indoors and outdoors, applications are tested under realistic conditions.

The Do IoT Fieldlab supports organizations in exploring and deploying wireless technologies, such as 5G Beyond and, in the future, 6G. Participants receive expert guidance and advice, not only to develop new applications but also to improve existing products and services.

Additionally, the Fieldlab fosters collaboration by connecting companies with researchers and government bodies. Through deep dives, workshops, and demos, knowledge and expertise are shared, and new innovations are made visible.

The fieldlab consists of:

  • Multiple private 5G networks and wireless infrastructures;
  • Extensive indoor and outdoor testing facilities for experiments under realistic conditions;
  • Collaboration with companies, knowledge institutions, and government bodies;
  • Availability of digital vouchers and subsidies for experiments and collaborative projects.
