Recap: FNS X ICCS X Dairy Campus Event on Smart Farming and Agro**
Recently, more than 35 connections gathered to explore the latest innovations in Smart Farming and the impact of digitalization on the agricultural sector. During the FNS X ICCS X Dairy Campus event, we were inspired by several speakers who shared their insights on technologies such as 6G, cybersecurity, and automation in agriculture. Recently, the FNS X ICCS (opens in a new tab) (verwijst naar een andere website) X Dairy Campus (opens in a new tab) (verwijst naar een andere website)event took place, where we, together with more than 35 connections, explored the future of Smart Farming and the digitalization of the agricultural sector. It was an inspiring afternoon filled with interesting presentations and valuable insights.
The session was opened by Kees de Koning (opens in a new tab) (verwijst naar een andere website) and Jan-Pruisja de Boer (opens in a new tab) (verwijst naar een andere website), after which the speakers took us through various innovations:
Marc Cremers (opens in a new tab) (verwijst naar een andere website) kicked off with an engaging presentation on the possibilities of 6G technology and the national Future Network Services program, and how this can strengthen the agricultural sector.
Erik Miedema (opens in a new tab) (verwijst naar een andere website)from MKB Cyber Campus (opens in a new tab) (verwijst naar een andere website) discussed the growing need for cybersecurity and digital resilience in the agricultural sector. With the Agro Cyberscan, farmers gain valuable insights into their digital vulnerabilities and learn how to mitigate risks.
Gerard Migchels (opens in a new tab) (verwijst naar een andere website) shared his knowledge about nature-inclusive farming, where high-tech and precision agriculture come together to promote biodiversity and help businesses with company-specific calculations.
Sander Woestenenk (opens in a new tab) (verwijst naar een andere website) from Lely (opens in a new tab) (verwijst naar een andere website) presented a practical example of the Lely Exos. He demonstrated how autonomous grass feeding not only reduces CO₂ emissions but also delivers significant labor efficiency.
Jehannes Bottema (opens in a new tab) (verwijst naar een andere website) from Dutch Dairy Centre (opens in a new tab) (verwijst naar een andere website) concluded the session with an inspiring presentation on innovations in dairy farming. He emphasized that automation not only increases labor capacity but also enhances animal welfare and overall efficiency.
