Kees Gehrels

Kees Gehrels (1962) has spent his entire career at Philips and NXP as an Innovation Leader, holding various roles. After studying Industrial Design at Delft University of Technology, he worked on – and led – the development of new products in consumer electronics, particularly televisions. He then worked as an R&D Manager and Business Development Manager on new semiconductor products: ICs for automotive applications. In that capacity, he played a leading role in the development of NXP’s radar business. Kees was also the initiator and director of a number of public-private partnerships: in V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) communication and in AutomotiveNL, which was merged into the RAI under his leadership.
